dc.description.abstractPalm oil is one of the major vegetable oil which has been used world wide and has red yellow carotenoid pigment. The concentration of β-carotene in palm oil is about 600-1000 ppm and has 100% activities of vitamin A. the best organic solvent formulation to extract palm oil with high concentration of β-carotene id hexane petroleum ether with ration 1:1. concentrated palm oil has a β-carotene average about 278.617 ppm. Paim oil with saponification process which has highest β -carotene could be used further to overcome vitamin A deficiency, to prevent cancer and coronary heart disease, and could replace damaged eels.en
