dc.description.abstractThis study was aimed to analyses the efficacy leaft extract and fractions of katuk (Sauropus androgynus) on the rat’s uterine involution. Fifteen pregnant female rats divided in to 5 treatment groups; control (K), ethanol extract (EEtOH), hexane fraction (F-H), ethyl acetate fraction (F-EtAc), and water fraction (F-H2O). The effect of treatment on uterine involution seen by measuring the weight of uterus at 5 days postpartum and 10 days postpartum. Data obtained from measurements were analyzed using analysis of variance test (ANOVA) and continued by advance tests (Duncan Test). The results were indicated that uterine involution of the group hexane fraction and ethanol extract at 5 days postpartum going slow down, but at 10 days postpartum the uterus of both groups had reached normal size. Uterine involution in ethyl acetate fraction and water fraction groups, run faster than the other groups. Uterine’s weight of both groups have reached normal weight at 5 days postpartum, but the weight of the uterus was decreased at 10 days postpartum. Conclusion of this study was by giving extract and fraction of katuk leaves is able to influence uterine involution in rats.en
dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji khasiat ekstrak dan fraksi daun katuk (Sauropus androgynus) terhadap involusi uterus dengan menggunakan tikus sebagai hewan percobaan. Sebanyak 15 ekor tikus betina bunting di bagi menjadi 5 kelompok perlakuan: kontrol (K), ekstrak etanol (E-EtOH), fraksi heksan (F-H), fraksi air (F-H2O), dan fraksi etil asetat (F-EtAc). Pengaruh perlakuan terhadap involusi uterus dilihat dengan mengukur berat uterus pada 5 hari postpartus dan 10 hari postpartus. Data yang diperoleh dari pengukuran dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji Sidik Ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut (Duncan Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok fraksi heksan dan ekstrak etanol pada 5 hari postpartus mengalami perlambatan involusi uterus, namun bobot uterus kedua kelompok ini sudah mencapai ukuran normal pada 10 hari postpartus. Involusi uterus pada kelompok fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi air terjadi lebih cepat dibanding kelompok lain. Bobot uterus kedua kelompok ini sudah mencapai bobot normal pada 5 hari postpartus, namun berat uterus semakin mengecil pada 10 hari postpartus. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian ekstrak dan fraksi daun katuk dapat mempengaruhi involusi uterus tikus
