Faktor resiko anemia pada ibu hamil di kota Bogor

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze risk factors of anemia among pregnant women in Bogor Municipality. The source of the data came from a mapping survey of chronic energy deficiency (CEC) and anemia of pregnant women done by Health Office of Bogor Municipality. About 450 pregnant women of 30 clusters (15 pregnant women for each cluster) were selected by applying a systematic random sampling. Considering uncomplete data, 29 samples were excluded during data analysis. The risk factors were analyzed by applying Logistic Regression Analysis. The results showed that mean prevalence of anemia among pregnant women in Bogor was 40,4% with the highest in South Bogor (63.1%). The main risk factors of anemia among pregnant women in Bogor Municipality were CEC, age of pregnancy, intake of legume products (tempeh and tofu), and parity. Pregnant women with CEC had a risk of 2.76 times more likely suffering from anemia; and pregnant women of the third trimester had a risk of 1.92 times more likely suffering from anemia. Furthermore, pregnant women consumed an adequate amount of legumes (tempeh and tofu) had risk of 0.43 times less likely suffering from anemia; and pregnant women with parity <3 had risk of 0.56 times less likely suffering from anemia. The result implies the important of preventing CEC before and during pregnancy, earlier health care for pregnant women, eating adequate amount of protein and iron sources foods, and the significancy of family planning programs for young women on reducing the prevalence of anemia among pregnant women in Bogor municipality.
