dc.description.abstractThis research was carried out from june 2010 to January 2011 at MTs Fathusa’adah, Sukaraja and SMP Purnawarman, Rancabungur Kabupaten Bogor. The purpose of the research is to know the relationship between prohepcidin serum concentration and iron status of anemic adolescent girls which recieved iron intervention. The research samples consisted of 55 of girl students which divided into two groups. The first group (traetment group/TG) recieved iron capsule (60 mg iron + 0.25 mg folic acid), the second group (control group/CG) only recieved placebo. The capsules were distributed and consumed twice weekly during 12 weeks. The result showed that before and after treatment energy, protein and nutrients (vitamin A, vitamin C, iron) consumption were very low (<70% Recommanded Dietary Allowans (RDA)). After 12 weeks intervention the Hb were significantly increased (P<0.05) as much as 0.65 ± 0.55 g/dl in the TG, but CG decreased 0.05 ± 0.32 g/dl. The result from multiple regretion analysis (MRA) showed that the change of the Hb concentration were influenced by initial Hb concentration and the consumtion of iron (R(adj)=41.6%). There were a significant increased (P<0.05) of feritin serum on the TG as much as 8.42 ± 18.89 ng/ml, and decreased significanly on CG as much as -7.93 ± 14.87 ng/ml. The change of the feritin serum concentration corelated with the initial feritin serum concentration and consumtion of iron (from MRA, R(adj)=40.6%). The mean of the prohepcidin serum concentration before intervention was 192.77 ± 126.98 ng/ml for TG and 203.91 ± 133.32 ng/ml for CG and after intervention 158.93 ± 74.77 ng/ml for TG and 169.93 ± 81.11 ng/ml for CG, but the decrease was not significant. Result from multiple regretion analysis showed that the change of prohepcidin were influenced by initial prohepcidin concentration and the consumtion of energy and protein (R(adj) = 73,8%) and were not corelated with iron status.en
dc.description.abstractPenelitian dilakukan di SMP Purnawarman Kecamatan Rancabungur dan Mts Fathusa’adah kecamatan Sukaraja Bogor, terhadap remaja putri kelas VII. VIII dan IX dari bulan Juni 2010 sampai Januari 2011. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran hubungan prohepsidin dan status besi pada remaja putri penderita anemia. Disain penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Sampel dikelompokkan menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok perlakuan yang mendapatkan kapsul zat besi dengan dosis 60 mg besi elemental + 0.25 mg asam folat (Tablet Tambah Darah [TTD] program yang dikapsulkan) dan kelompok kontrol mendapatkan kapsul plasebo. Kelompok perlakuan terdiri dari 29 orang dan kelompok kontrol 26 orang, sehingga jumlah keseluruhan 55 orang. Variabel bebas adalah kadar Hb, kadar feritin, kadar prohepsidin (awal), asupan energi, protein, dan zat besi (akhir), variabel terikat adalah perubahan kadar Hb, perubahan kadar feritin dan perubahan kadar prohepsidin.id
