dc.description.abstractThis study was aimed to explore ultrasonography imaging of the follicle and corpus luteum, after ovulation synchronization of the Thoroughbred-Indonesian local crossbred mares. Three crossbred mares aged 12-20 years old were used in this study. Injection of 10 mg PGF2α intra muscular was used to induce the estrous at luteal phase and 1500 IU hCG intra muscular was used to induce ovulation when the dominant follicle is ≥30 mm in size. Ultrasonography examination was done everyday after PGF2α injection till follicle reached diameter ≥30 mm and it continued every four hours after injected hCG until ovulation. The results of induction after PGF2α injection showed estrous onset 1.3±0.6 days, estrous duration 4.0±10 days, and interval to ovulation was 3.2±1.0 days, meanwhile the time of ovulation after hCG injection occurred at 62.7±10.1 hours. Follicle and corpus luteum diameter was 4.5±0.5 cm and 0.8±03 cm one day before ovulation.en
dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi gambaran ultrasonografi folikel dan korpus luteum, setelah sinkronisasi ovulasi pada induk kuda persilangan. Tiga induk kuda persilangan berusia 12-20 tahun digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pemberian 10 mg PGF2α intra muskular digunakan untuk menginduksi estrus pada fase luteal dan 1500 IU hCG intra muskular digunakan untuk menginduksi ovulasi saat folikel dominan berdiameter ≥30 mm. Pemeriksaan ultrasonografi dilakukan setiap hari setelah pemberian PGF2α dan dilanjutkan setiap empat jam sekali setelah pemberian hCG sampai terjadi ovulasi. Hasil induksi estrus setelah pemberian PGF2α menunjukkan onset estrus 1,3±0,6 hari, durasi estrus 4,0±10 hari, dan interval ovulasi 3,2±1,0 hari, sedangkan ovulasi terjadi setelah pemberian hCG pada 62,7±10,1 jam. Folikel dan korpus luteum berdiameter 4,5±0,5 cm dan 0,8±03 cm satu hari sebelum ovulasi.
