| dc.description.abstract | Bogor Nirwana Residence (BNR) is a housing estate in Bogor city which has nature concept. Each area in BNR has different planting design trends which are interesting to be studied. The objectives of this study were to identify plants diversity and elements of planting design, to analyze planting design trends and to propose a recommendation of planting design concept for residential landscape of BNR. Method used in this study was survey method with descriptive analysis, which consisted of site inventory, analysis and synthesis stage (arranging recommendation). This study focused on plants dominants, species diversity, functional and aesthetic aspects of the plant arrangements. Results of the study showed that there were 128 species of plants in the whole area of study. The diversity varied from 0,07 to 1,1. Plant types which had highest dominant scores were trees on the main road and groundcovers on cluster gates, public parks and fronthouse gardens. Functional aspects scores on main road classified into poor with score 58,6%, while public park classified into fair with score 63,8%. Aesthetic aspects scores on whole area of study classified into fair, varied from 64,4% to 75,6%. Recommendation of planting design concept was made following ideal criteria of required functional aspects on each area of study. | en |
