dc.description.abstractThis study developed a biomass estimation models based on high resolution satellite imagery in peat swamp forest located PT Diamond Raya Timber area in Riau. Stand biomass and data was derived from ground sample plots data. Linear, power, and exponential model forms were examined using crown density and crown diameter as independent variable to estimate biomass. To get the best model, all models were verified using separated sample plot data. The models were developed using ordinary least square (OLS), generalized linear least square (GLS), and generalized nonlinear least square (GNLS). The study results show that the power model provide better estimate than both the linier model and the exponential model using crown density variable, i.e. B = 4.594Clap0.608 having R2 adj = 40.54%, SA <1, SR = 11.83%, and 2 < 42.56. Correlation analysis between field measurement and satellite measurement show that there are not discrepancies between the measurement in the field and satellite sample plot.en
