      Abstract
The amount of mushroom cultivation waste increased in consequence of the increase of quality and capacity of business working on mushroom production. The accumulation of cultivation waste will cause environmental problem, if it is not handled properly. This research was aimed to evaluate the effect of oyster mushroom cultivation waste on nutrient uptake, plant growth, and yield of soybean and upland rice. The experiment was conducted using two factors of treatment. The first factor was waste of oyster mushroom cultivation that consist of 4 levels : 0 g/kg, 150 g/kg, 300 g/kg, and 450 g/kg of soil. The second factor was anorganik fertilizers consisting 3 level : 0%, 50%, and 100% of recommended doses. The upland rice variety Situbagendit was planted in pots and grown in the green house, while soybean number 44 was planted in pots and grown on the field condition. The treatmens of waste increase significantly the nutrients uptake, growth and yield of soybean and upland rice. The treatment of 300 g waste/kg soil in combination with 100% dose of anorganik fertilizers showed the best result in nutrient uptake. Anorganik fertilizers increase nutrient uptake in soybean, but contrarily in upland rice. The dose 300 g waste/kg of soil showed the best result in plant height, stem diameter, and number of node. While the dose of 450 g/kg showed the best result in number of leave, number of branch, and shoot dry weight of soybean. The mushroom cultivation waste also increase significantly the number of leave and rice seedlings. Combined with the mushroom cultivation waste, anorganik fertilizers had no significant affect on growth and yield of soybean and upland rice. The mushroom cultivation waste affect significantly the soybean yield that was indicated by the increase of pod number (up to 192%), number of seed (362%), seed weight (462%), and weight of 100 seeds (49%).
