Perbandingan Metode Knowledge Graph dan Concept Mapping sebagai Teknik Menangkap Pengetahuan.

Abstract

Pengetahuan merupakan faktor yang paling penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumberdaya manusia. Pengetahuan dapat diperoleh dari berbagai sumber, salah satunya teks. Teks yang akan dikaji pada tulisan ini adalah teks berbahasa Inggris dengan jenis recount text dan hortatory exposition. Untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan tersebut, diperlukan suatu metode yang efektif dan efisien. Karya ilmiah ini mencoba mengimplementasikan dan membandingkan metode Knowledge Graph (KG) dan Concept Mapping (CM) untuk menangkap pengetahuan dari teks. Berdasarkan aspek proses, metode KG lebih mudah diimplementasikan dalam komputer. Di sisi lain, metode CM memiliki konsep yang bebas. Karena itu, metode ini lebih subjektif, lebih sulit diimplementasikan dalam komputer. Metode KG menghasilkan representasi pengetahuan berupa graf dengan struktur nonhierarki, sedangkan metode CM berupa diagram konsep dengan struktur hierarki. Untuk jangka panjang, metode KG dipercaya menjadi metode yang potensial untuk mengembangkan sistem abstraksi teks.

Knowledge is one of most important factors for increasing human quality. Knowledge is obtained from various sources, for example from a text. In this research, we used English recount and hortatory exposition texts. For capturing the knowledge, we need an effective and efficient method. We try to implement and compare Knowledge Graph (KG) method and Concept Mapping (CM) method to capture the knowledge from a text. From process aspect, the KG method is more easily implemented automatically than that of CM method, because KG method has a limited number of concepts. On the ather hand, CM method has more free concepts, hence, it isi more subjective. Therefore, it is more difficult to implement automatically. The result og KG method is a nonhierarchy structure of graph representation, whereas the result of CM method is a hierarchy structure of concept diagram. For a long time goal, KG method is believed to be a potential method for developing a text abstraction system.
