dc.description.abstract	In relation with population growth in a Drainage Basin @AS), the needs of each resident grew rapidly followed by the needs of newly opened settlement. This phenomenon has showed in the Sub DAS Ciliwung Hulu, where the settlement has increased rapidly. The aims of this research are : (1) Studiig the spatial pattern of settlement growth in Sub DAS Ciliwung Hulu at period of 1981, 1985,1990,1994, and 2001, (2) Analyzing the correlation between the settlement area with the amount of population related to the main road, (3) Analyzing the spreading and instruct of the settlement, and (4) Studying the related to settlement area with amount of population.	en
