Upland rice can be development in upland area widely distributed in Indonesia. The main constraint in sloping upland agriculture is lost of organic matter and nutrient through runoff and erosion. Surface runoff and erosion can be controlled by implementing depression storage channels with adding mulch. Depression storage is expected to intercept, retain and infiltrate rainfall so that no water is lost as surface runoff. This research aims to study the effect of spacing between depression storage in suppressing surface runoff and erosion, as well as its effect on the soil's physical properties.en
