After the discovery of synthetic pesticides, pest management practices have been widely carried out using pesticides. There is no doubt that the use of pesticides has made a significant contribution to agricultural production during the Green Revolution era; however, it has also caused negative impacts, including pest resistance/resurgence, environmental contamination, and others. Therefore, laws and regulations are needed to manage and control pesticide use, and these regulations need to be examined. This study aims to (1) inventory and analyze the contents of national pesticide regulations and other relevant sectors, (2) identify pesticide policies and the institutional factors influencing them, and (3) examine and understand the relationship between national pesticide policies and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs. The study of national pesticide policy is designed as an exploratory/descriptive research, conducted through the inventory of regulations, content analysis, and analysis of pesticide policies and influencing institutional factors. This study is complemented by field observations and interviews with resource persons.
