Up to now, mountain rain forest of Gunung Gede-Pangrango National Park continues to face problem in the form of invasion and distribution of exotic species inside the area. Location of the area that borders with various land uses, especially agricultural area and Cibodas Botanical Garden, make the national park susceptible to invasion by invasive exotic species or those species known also as invasive alien plant species (IAS) that have potential to retard forest regeneration. The objective of this research was to study the role of seed bank in forest regeneration and its relationship with canopy gap dimension and invasion of exotic species in this National Park.en
