| dc.description.abstract | Bogor Agricultural University, one of universities in Indonesia, has 4 campusses : Dramaga, Baranangsiang, Cilebende, and Gunung Gede. IPB Dramaga Campus (IDC), that be a concern object here, is a wide area campus with identical form building. Searching a room at IDC could be difficult. A dynamic and accesible Geographic Information System of IDC can be considered as a solution. Some previous researches concerned with the same issue. One of them is Web-based GIS of rooms at IPB Campus with Dynamic Mapfile Configuration Using MapServer and Pmapper (Isriana 2008). None of them have been published yet, hence could not be utilized. The objective of this research is developing and implementing Geographic Information System (GIS) of IDC on Linux-OS. By utilizing an open source operating system and PostgreSQL with PostGIS extension made current research different from those of previous researches. | en |
