Uji coba penggunaan pelet yang mengandung Imunoglobulin-Y (IG-Y) anti koi herpesvirus sebagai pencegah penyakit pada ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio carpio)
Abstract
The objective of this research was to observe effective dose in conducting common carp passive immunization and to reduce disadvantage of carp breeders. This research uses 100 common carps which weight is 50 grams each, and treatment groups based on negative control, low dose 5% (w/w) Ig-Y, and high dose 20% (w/w) Ig-Y. The treatmen of the Ig-Y was applied on its pellet and was given within 14 days and 28 days. The treatment data was taken after the serum test, challenge test, Polymerase Chain Reaction, and then analyzed descriptively. The serum test indicated that cross reaction was shown in low dose 5% (w/w) Ig-Y treated at 14 days. Challenge test on 5% (w/w) treatment shows good survival rates. PCR test shows a negative results in sick carp gills sample. Passive immunization of Ig-Y anti KHV in fish pellet able to reduce KHV infection and mortality which effective dose is 5% (w/w) for 14 days.
