      Abstract
Coccidiosis is a common disease caused by infection of Eimeria spp. The aimed of this research was to observe effectiveness of johar leaves etanol extract (Cassia siamea Lamk.) in chicken that infected naturally by Eimeria spp. containing 8,1-23,6 x 103 oocyts on body weight and temperature of chicken. Nineteen chickens were divided into six equal groups. They were normal control group (KN), negative control group (K-), drug control group (K+), group (P1) induced by ethanol extract of johar leaves with dose 4,09 mg/0,5 ml, group (P2) induced by ethanol extract of johar leaves with dose 8,18 mg/0,5 ml, group (P3) by ethanol extract of johar leaves with dose 16,38 mg/0,5 ml. Weight and temperature in chickens examined for eight times. The results showed that generally body weight and temperature were not affected by number of oocyts. Body weight of P3 group is higher than another infected groups. While etanol extract of johar leaves with dose 16,38 mg/0,5 ml could keep chicken’s temperature in normal temperature (41,45°C).
