Analisis kelayakan dan strategi pengembangan usaha industri kecil tahu di Kabupaten Kuningan-Jawa Barat (studi kasus: industri kecil tahu lamping)
Abstract
Kuningan District where agriculture is the inhabitant main livelihood, has the potential for agro based processing industry sectors. Small and Medium Industries (SMI) is business entity that able to provide job labor as well as source of public revenue. One of Small Industries (SI) which sustain to grow since the 1960's at the Kuningan District is Tofu industry. In 2009, Tofu SI which is mostly family business amount to 67 units spread over several sub-districts. The purpose of this study were to analyze business performance, to analyze the needs and feasibility of business development and to formulate a strategy in business development of Tofu SI. Data collection methods used were field surveys and in-depth interviews with related experts. Information obtained from the District Government and Koperasi Tahu Tempe Indonesia (KOPTI). Data processing technique was using Friedman test and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The uniqueness of the Tahu Lamping SI is in the its production system which include accuracy and appropriateness in every production process, layout of production sites, so that the flow of production line can be performed effectively and efficiently, waste disposal treatment, fine selection of raw materials and Just-in-time (JIT) sales practices.
