Paclobutrazol application effectivity on growth balance of two groundnut varieties were investigated at Cikabayan (IPB Research Station) from April to July 2009. The field experiment was arranged in split-split-plot design. The main factors were time of paclobutrazol applications (6 and 8 WAP), the sub factors were varieties (sima and kelinci) and the sub-sub factors were paclobutrazol concentrations (0, 100, and 200 ppm). The result showed that 200 ppm concentration of paclobutrazol played significant role in increasing pod weight, productivity and harvest index than other treatments. The 200 ppm treatment was also increase non structural carbohydrate accumulated, and lower total nitrogen of the stem at 10 WAP. Sima variety had higher total nitrogen in the stem than kelinci variety.en
