dc.description.abstractMainstreaming paradigm of human resource development recently has paid serious attention to the family institution as the primary loci of human development. One of the aspects of the family institution most experts stressed was the effect of parenting on child development. In this context, parenting is defined as the skill of parents to meet the rights of their children to optimize their growth and development. Including in the concept is the moral responsibility of parents to build character of their children. This march was designed to analyze the effect of parenting on child development in two ethnical setting i.e. Banjareese and Madureese. A conceptual mode1 was developed to elaborate a number of determinants that are theoretically assumed to affect parenting on child development. As a survey, the research relied on the questionnaire as one and only the main instrument of observation. Some statistical analysis techniques were applied to describe and analysis findings of the research.id
