This research was conducted in order to investigate the effects of yeastchromium supplementation in the diet on the blood glucose regulation, stress resistance, immunity response to the bacterial infectin, growth performance of low ternpwatu~p ost stress, and feed efficiency of giant gouramy exposed to decreased ambient temperature This research consisted of tm, experiments. The first experiment used four diets with four level of yeast-chromium supplementation, namely diet A (0.0 pprn ~r'?,d iet B (1.5 pprn ~ r ' q ,d iet C (3.2 pprn 0'3, and diet D (4.9 ppm 0'9. The fish fed on the experimental diets twice a day, at satiation for 40 days rearing period. The best level of ~ rfro'm~ the first experiment there is 1.5 ppm, was used in the second experiment. The m d experiment used factorial deslgn with two factors. The first factors were diet without yeast-drmium supplementation ; dkt with 1.5 pprn ~ rsu'pp~lem entation and was fed to the for 40 days; and diet with 1.5 ppm ~ ran*d ~was fed to the fish for 80 days. The second factor was environment temperature with two levels temperature (ambient and decreased environment temperature). During 80 days rearing period, haff of the fish from each treatment of factor I were subjected to low of temperature stress at periodic of time, and the other half was not. Results from the first experiment showed that the fish fed on diet 1.5 ppm ~ 1m'or~e re sistanoe to the low temperalu~s tress and immunity response, and the highest growth rate and feed Mchcy. The second experiment showd mat there are no significant differences on gmwth rate and feed efficiency between fish fed an 1.5 pprn Crt3 diet during 40 days rearing period compared to that fed on 1.5 pprn ~ rdie't d~urin g 80 days rearing period. However, fish fed 1.5 pprn ~ rdie+t fo~r 80 days showed better resistance to the bw temperature stress and had a better immunity ~sponse. It was concluded that 1.5 pprn Cf3 was the best level of Cr'3 in the diet of giant gouramy juvenile and needed to be fed to the fish during rearing period.id
