dc.description.abstractTPle study on leaves of 21 species of acacia, showed that crude protein content varied from 13 to 32 percent. 'Ihe number of amino acid tended to increase with the increase in crude protein content. The prussic acid contents were 6.16, 7.07 and 12.35 ppn for 2. eburnia, 5. farnesiana and - A. arabica, respectively, Based on the content of crude protein, that of amino acid and that of prussic acid, acacias that had a high potential as feed were A. sieberiana, A. auxiculiformis , &. spadicigera, 2. - nilotica, A. pseudointsia, 5 holoseracea, A. melanoxilon and A. confusa.id
