      Abstract
REZI ZAHRA AZIZA. B04051740. Histomorphological Aspect of Liver, Small Intestine, and Spleen of Diabetic Model Rat that was Treated with Sambiloto Extract. Under direction of ADI WINARTO and EKOWATI HANDHARYANI The purpose of this study is to evaluate the histomorphological aspect of liver, small intestine, and spleen of diabetic model rats that were treated with sambiloto extract. Twenty-four male Spraque-Dawley rats were divided into 2 groups of models. Diabetic model group was induced by Streptozotocin (40 mg/kg BW) intra-peritonially, and a healthy group which recieved Phosphat Buffer Saline (PBS) pH 7.4 intra-peritonially. The both of groups were treated with sambioto daily within 4 weeks. Rat model of diabetes with low sugar levels and high at the time of sacrifice was observed as a distinct group. Observations on the liver, small intestine, and spleen of non-diabetic group showed that the provision does not affect the morphological sambiloto liver, small intestine, and spleen. Observations on liver of rat diabetic model with blood sugar levels are still high indicates a change in the form of congestion and degeneration, in the small intestine seen an increase in the number of Goblet cells and mitotic cells but did not find any picture of damage to the mucosal epithelium. Changes are seen in the spleen leads to degeneration until necrosa, and spleen increased with the emergence of readiness germinal centers. Evaluation of the liver, small intestine, and spleen model of diabetes with a decrease in blood sugar showed an improvement histomorfologis picture to approach the image on the non-diabetic group.
