Malaria is caused by Plasmodium parasites that are transmitted by female Anopheles mosquito. The immature stadium takes place on water. Anopheles larval habitats have different characteristics on fresh water and brackish water that are directly related to the soil. Senggigi village is a tourist location which is visited by many foreign and domestic tourists. The ecology of this coastal area is in accordance with the ecological habitat of the Anopheles sundaicus larvae. This exploratory research was conducted to obtain presence information, distribution and characteristics of the habitats and the density of larvae A. sundaicus at Senggigi village of Batulayar District - West Lombok. Two types of larval habitats found in this areas were estuaries and lagoon. The situations in those habitats relatively was exposed direct sunlight. Areal the bottom was sandy mud with some extensive gravel. The water quality had a temperature range between 24,80-28,10oC, salinity 0,00-2,00o/oo and pH of 7,00-8,00 which provided a supportive environment for the proliferation of A. sundaicus larval. The existence of malaria cases, A. sundaicus mosquito, and potentialy habitats were the risk factors of malaria transmission to the local communities and tourists.id
