      Abstract
      Dalam suatu reaksi fisi, setiap fisi U-235 akan menghasilkan rata-rata dua neutron. Tiap neutron kemudian akan menyebabkan proses baru lagi, dan seterusnya sehingga terjadilah apa yang dinamakan reaksi befantai. Dalam reaktor nuklir, reaksi berantai ini dikendalikan dengan menyisipkan (menginsersi) batang kendali untuk menyerap neutron, sehingga neutron yang berada di teras reaktor, populasinya dapat di kendalikan.
