      Abstract

TPA Galuga receives approximately 800–900 tons of waste per day from Bogor City and Bogor Regency, generating landfill gas (LFG) predominantly composed of methane (CH4). This study aims to analyze LFG production using Landfill Gas Emissions Model (LandGEM), assess its potential utilization as an energy source, and determine appropriate LFG management technology. Data were obtained through interviews, waste generation data, literature, and landfill operational documents. LFG production was estimated using a first-order decay approach, while technology selection employed the Cost Benefit Analysis. The results indicate a thermal energy potential of 21.30 MW and an estimated electricity generation capacity of 7.46 MW at 35% generator efficiency. Vertical extraction wells and Waste-to-Energy (WtE) technology were identified as the most suitable alternatives for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and generating renewable energy.
