      Abstract
The rapid development of the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Area has led to a diversity of characteristics and levels of development across its various regions. It is therefore necessary to understand the typology of regional development as a basis for supporting sustainable development planning. This study analyzes regional development hierarchy, changes in Subdistrict Development Index (SDI) rankings, inequality, and regional typology in Jabodetabek. Village Potential Statistics (Podes) data for 2018 and 2024 were used for 183 subdistricts across 13 regencies/cities. Scalogram analysis was conducted separately for each year, while intertemporal dynamics were assessed through ranking changes. The results show that 91 subdistricts improved in rank, 88 declined, and 4 remained unchanged. The Theil Entropy Index decreased from 0.13655 in 2018 to 0.11040 in 2024, with inequality dominated by within-regency/city differences. K-Means Clustering using the 2024 IPK ranking, ranking changes, and contribution to the 2024 Theil Index produced three typologies: 46 advanced/stable, 51 rapidly developing, and 86 stagnant/low-development subdistricts.
