dc.description.abstractIkan manfish Pterophyllum scalare merupakan salah satu ikan hias air tawar yang populer karena memiliki bentuk tubuh pipih, sirip yang indah, dan warna yang menarik sehingga bernilai ekonomi tinggi, namun pertumbuhan benihnya masih relatif lambat sehingga diperlukan strategi pemberian pakan yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas suplementasi vitamin C melalui cacing sutra Tubifex sp. terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasan benih ikan manfish. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 35 hari menggunakan empat perlakuan, yaitu kontrol (tanpa vitamin C), P1 (50 mg L-1), P2 (100 mg L-1), dan P3 (150 mg L-1) vitamin C yang diperkaya pada cacing sutra. Parameter yang diamati meliputi laju pertumbuhan spesifik, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, sintasan, dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan P2 (100 mg L-1) memberikan hasil terbaik dengan laju pertumbuhan spesifik, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, dan sintasan berbeda nyata dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Selama penelitian, kualitas air berada pada kisaran optimal sehingga mendukung pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih. Hasil menunjukan bahwa suplementasi vitamin C melalui cacing sutra pada dosis 100 mg L-1 merupakan dosis optimum untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan sintasan benih ikan manfish
dc.description.abstractAngelfish Pterophyllum scalare is a freshwater ornamental fish with high economic value; however, fingerling growth remains relatively slow, requiring an effective feeding strategy to improve growth performance and survival. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of vitamin C supplementation through Tubifex worms on the performance of angelfish fingerlings. The experiment was conducted for 35 days using a with four treatments: control (without vitamin C), P1 (50 mg L-1), P2 (100 mg L-1), and P3 (150 mg L-1) of vitamin C enriched into Tubifex worms. Observed parameters included specific growth rate, absolute length growth, absolute weight gain, survival rate, and water quality. The results showed that treatment P2 (100 mg L-1) produced the best performance, with a specific growth rate, absolute length growth, absolute weight gain, and a survival rate significantly different from the other treatments. Water quality remained within the optimal range throughout the experiment, supporting fish growth and survival. It can be concluded that vitamin C supplementation through Tubifex worms at a dose of 100 mg L-1 is the optimum treatment to improve the growth and survival of angelfish fingerlings.
