      Abstract
      PT LEN Industri masih menggunakan sistem kehadiran manual yang menggunakan alat tulis kertas bagi para mahasiswa kerja praktik. Sistem ini memiliki kelemahan seperti rentan terhadap kecurangan penitipan kehadiran, kurang akurat dalam penulisan waktu kehadiran, dan prosesnya yang memakan waktu. Sementara, sistem kehadiran menggunakan fingerprint memiliki keunggulan seperti lebih akurat, lebih efektif, dan lebih mudah digunakan dalam pendataan kehadiran para mahasiswa kerja praktik PT LEN Industri. Sistem fingerprint ini merupakan sistem yang memanfaatkan sensor sidik jari untuk mengidentifikasi identitas individu yang dimana sidik jari sendiri merupakan garis- garis unik yang berada di ujung jari tangan yang setiap orang tidak akan ada yang mempunyai sidik jari yang sama. Dengan adanya sistem fingerprint ini diharapkan para mahasiswa kerja praktik tak perlu lama lagi bergiliran mengantri untuk input kehadiran
       
      PT LEN Industri still uses a manual attendance system that uses paper for internship students. This system has weaknesses such as being vulnerable to fraudulent attendance, inaccurate writing of attendance time, and time-consuming processes. Meanwhile, the attendance system using fingerprints has advantages such as being more accurate, more effective, and easier to use in registering the attendance of PT LEN Industri Internship Students. This fingerprint system utilizes a fingerprint sensor to identify individual identities where the fingerprint itself is a unique line at the end of the fingertips that each person will not have the same fingerprint. With this fingerprint system, it is hoped that internship students will no longer need to take turns queuing for attendance input.
