Abstract

Red-Yellow Podzolic is one of highly weathered soil, therefore it has acid reaction and low base saturation. One way to overcome the problems in acid soils is by liming. This alternative increases the availability of p. because increasing pH by liming precipitates Al and Fe. The common liming materials used are calcite and dolomite. Beside the two materials. other material used is steel dag, which is a by product produced in steel manufacturing.
