dc.description.abstractErosi tanah merupakan salah satu indikator kerusakan Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) karena dapat memicu sedimentasi dan menurunkan kualitas air serta tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan penggunaan lahan dan laju erosi di DAS Cidanau pada tahun 2021 dan 2025, serta mengidentifikasi faktor dominan yang memengaruhinya. Perubahan penggunaan lahan dianalisis secara spasial melalui intersect shapefile tahun 2021 dan 2025, sedangkan laju erosi diduga menggunakan model Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) yang diintegrasikan dengan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan luas sawah, hutan, dan badan air menurun, sedangkan permukiman dan semak belukar meningkat. Rata-rata laju erosi meningkat dari 1,3 mm/tahun (2021) menjadi 1,4 mm/tahun (2025), disertai perluasan kelas bahaya erosi sedang hingga sangat berat, meskipun DAS masih didominasi kelas bahaya erosi sangat ringan. Peningkatan laju erosi lebih dipengaruhi oleh erosivitas hujan (R) dibandingkan perubahan penggunaan lahan (CP). Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya strategi konservasi tanah dan air yang mempertimbangkan variabilitas curah hujan, tidak hanya pengendalian alih fungsi lahan, untuk menjaga fungsi DAS Cidanau.
dc.description.abstractSoil erosion is one indicator of watershed degradation, as it can trigger sedimentation and reduce water and soil quality. This study aimed to analyze land use change and erosion rate in the Cidanau Watershed in 2021 and 2025, and to identify the dominant factor influencing it. Land use change was analyzed spatially by intersecting the 2021 and 2025 shapefiles, while erosion rate was estimated using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) model integrated with a Geographic Information System (GIS). Results showed that paddy field, forest, and water body areas decreased, while settlement and shrubland areas increased. Average erosion rate rose from 1,3 mm/year (2021) to 1,4 mm/year (2025), accompanied by an expansion of moderate to very severe erosion hazard classes, although the watershed remained dominated by the very light hazard class. The increase in erosion rate was more strongly influenced by rainfall erosivity (R) than by land use change (CP). These findings confirm the importance of soil and water conservation strategies that account for rainfall variability, not only land conversion control, to sustain the function of the Cidanau Watershed.
