desain cross-sectional dengan data sekunder dari penelitian longitudinal Growth of Rural Children in West Java, Indonesia: A Twenty-Year Follow-Up Study.
| dc.description.abstract | Diabetes mellitus (DM) and dyslipidemia are metabolic disorders associated with impaired glucose and lipid metabolism. Body composition and nutritional
status may influence these conditions. This study aimed to analyze the association of body composition and nutritional status with fasting blood glucose (FBG),
glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and lipid profile among adult men in Sukajadi Village, Tamansari District, Bogor Regency. This cross-sectional study used secondary data from the longitudinal study Growth of Rural Children in West Java, Indonesia: A Twenty-Year Follow-Up Study. A total of 73 men aged 18–49 years were selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively and using Spearman correlation tests. Most subjects had normal nutritional status
(56.2%), normal FBG (87.7%), and normal HbA1c levels (79.5%). Mean total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglyceride levels were 211±44 mg/dL, 47±10 mg/dL, 115±29 mg/dL, and 130±70 mg/dL, respectively, which were classified as
borderline high, moderate, near optimal, and normal. The results of the correlation analysis showed a significant correlation (p < 0.05) between body composition and nutritional status with total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides.
