Pendugaan Serapan Karbon Tanaman Rasamala dan Jengkol di Blok RHL Citalahab, KTH Cikaniki Sejahtera, Nanggung, Bogor
Abstract
Evaluasi keberhasilan rehabilitasi hutan dan lahan memerlukan data kuantitatif akumulasi karbon sejak tahap awal pertumbuhan, namun informasi serapan karbon pada tanaman muda umur satu tahun di kawasan konservasi masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pertumbuhan dan menduga serapan karbon aktual tanaman muda rasamala (Altingia excelsa) dan jengkol (Archidendron pauciflorum) di areal rehabilitasi hutan dan lahan (RHL) tahun pertama Resort Cikaniki, Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun Salak. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling pada tiga plot berukuran 20 m × 50 m di Blok Citalahab. Biomassa diukur menggunakan metode destruktif dan serapan karbon diduga melalui metode selisih stok (stock-difference method) dengan bibit polybag sebagai baseline. Hasil menunjukkan jengkol memiliki rata-rata tinggi total lebih besar (88,11 ± 34,02 cm) dibandingkan rasamala (81,33 ± 25,87 cm), dengan pola distribusi biomassa yang berbeda: jengkol mendominasi pada komponen akar (48,3%) sedangkan rasamala pada komponen batang (62,6%). Serapan karbon aktual rasamala (0,0211 ton C/ha/tahun) sedikit lebih tinggi dibandingkan Jengkol (0,0194 ton
C/ha/tahun). Perbedaan laju serapan karbon aktual antara rasamala dan jengkol diduga lebih tepat dijelaskan oleh perbedaan karakter stomata (jumlah stomata dan luas daun total) yang memengaruhi kapasitas fotosintesis kedua jenis, dan bukan semata-mata oleh nilai Live Crown Ratio (LCR) yang lebih tinggi. Evaluating the success of forest and land rehabilitation requires quantitative data on carbon accumulation from the early stages of growth; however, information on carbon sequestration in one-year-old young stands within conservation areas remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the growth and estimate the actual carbon sequestration of young rasamala (Altingia excelsa) and jengkol (Archidendron pauciflorum) stands in the first-year forest and land rehabilitation (RHL) area of the Cikaniki Resort, Gunung Halimun Salak National Park. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling across three plots measuring 20 m × 50 m in the Citalahab Block. Biomass was measured using the destructive method, and carbon sequestration was estimated via the stock-difference method using polybag seedlings as the baseline. The results showed that jengkol had a higher average total height (88.11 ± 34.02 cm) compared to rasamala (81.33 ± 25.87 cm), with contrasting biomass distribution patterns: jengkol was dominant in the root component (48.3%), where as rasamala was dominant in the stem component (62.6%). The actual carbon sequestration of rasamala (0.0211 ton C/ha/year) was slightly higher than that of jengkol (0.0194 ton C/ha/year). The difference in actual carbon sequestration rates between rasamala and jengkol was more likely explained by differences in stomatal characteristics (stomatal number and total leaf area) affecting the photosynthetic capacity of both species, rather than solely by a higher Live Crown Ratio (LCR) value.
