Coal combustion in the cement kiln produces sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) emissions released through the kiln stack. This study estimated emission rates using a mass balance based on the coal's ultimate and proximate analyses, simulated pollutant dispersion with AERMOD, and compared the results with the Indonesian National Ambient Air Quality Standard (Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021). Estimated SO2 and NO2 emission rates were 44.68 g/s and 182.57 g/s, respectively. Maximum SO2 concentrations reached 1,659.04 µg/m³ (1-hour), 272.03 µg/m³ (24-hour), and 4.08 µg/m³ (annual), while NO2 reached 6,536.37 µg/m³, 1,117.50 µg/m³, and 19.82 µg/m³. Both pollutants exceeded the 1-hour and 24-hour standards near the emission source but complied with the annual standard. Fractional bias values were 0.36 for SO2 and -1.67 for NO2. Ambient particulate concentrations (TSP, PM10, and PM2,5) complied with the standard. The study recommends increasing the use of alternative fuels derived from hazardous waste (B3) and adding air quality monitoring points at locations with maximum pollutant concentrations.
