      Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate soil and leaf nutrient status and the fertilization program for Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L.) plants in the immature (TBM) and mature (TM) phases at Java Coffee Estate, Bondowoso, East Java. The analyses included soil pH and N, P, K, Ca, and Mg concentrations in soil and leaves. The results showed that P, K, and Mg concentrations in soil and leaves were higher in TM than in TBM. In contrast, N and Ca showed different patterns between soil and leaves. The fertilization program applied different rates between TBM and TM. These results indicate that fertilization evaluation should consider the condition of each nutrient based on soil and leaf analyses and plant growth phase.
