Evaluasi Pengendalian Kualitas Cast In Heater dengan Pendekatan DMAIC di PT XYZ

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk cast in heater di PT XYZ dengan menggunakan pendekatan DMAIC. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah masih adanya produk cacat dalam proses produksi, seperti cacat dimensi, permukaan tidak rata, keretakan, dan ketidaksesuaian produk dengan standar perusahaan. Metode DMAIC digunakan melalui lima tahap, yaitu define, measure, analyze, improve, dan control untuk mengidentifikasi masalah, mengukur tingkat cacat, menganalisis penyebab utama, menyusun usulan perbaikan, dan menetapkan pengendalian proses. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa cacat produk dipengaruhi oleh faktor inspeksi yang belum dilakukan secara merata pada proses. Usulan perbaikan meliputi peningkatan standar kerja melalui penggunaan checksheet dan one point lesson. Penerapan DMAIC diharapkan dapat menurunkan tingkat kecacatan, meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, dan menjaga kualitas produk cast in heater di PT XYZ.

This study aims to improve the quality of cast-in heater products at PT XYZ using the DMAIC approach. The issue at hand involves the continued occurrence of product defects during production such as dimensional errors, uneven surfaces, cracking, and non-compliance with company standards. The DMAIC method comprising the define, measure, analyze, improve, and control stages was employed to identify problems, measure defect rates, analyze root causes, formulate improvement proposals, and establish process controls. Analysis revealed that product defects were influenced by inconsistent inspection practices across the production process. Proposed improvements include enhancing work standards through the use of checksheets and one point lesson materials. The implementation of DMAIC is expected to reduce defect rates, increase production efficiency, and ensure the quality of cast in heater products at PT XYZ.
