      Efektivitas Ekstrak Bawang Putih Sebagai Bioinsektisida Terhadap Pengendalian Hama Kutu Tempurung (Coccus viridis)

      Abstract
      Serangan hama kutu tempurung pada tanaman kopi memerlukan pengendalian yang efektif dan ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas ekstrak bawang putih sebagai bioinsektisida terhadap pengendalian hama kutu tempurung (Coccus viridis). Penelitian menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) dengan empat taraf konsentrasi ekstrak bawang putih dan dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA yang dilanjutkan uji DMRT taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak bawang putih berpengaruh nyata terhadap penurunan jumlah kutu, peningkatan mortalitas hama, serta menekan perkembangan populasi kutu, dengan perlakuan konsentrasi 100% memberikan hasil terbaik. Dengan demikian, ekstrak bawang putih berpotensi menjadi bioinsektisida yang efektif dan ramah lingkungan untuk mengendalikan hama kutu tempurung pada tanaman kopi.
       
      The infestation of green scale insects on coffee plants requires an effective and environmentally friendly control method. This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of garlic extract as a bioinsecticide for controlling green scale insects (Coccus viridis). A randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four concentrations of garlic extract was applied, and the data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by duncan's multiple range test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that garlic extract significantly reduced pest infestation, increased insect mortality, and suppressed the development of the pest population, with the 100% garlic extract treatment producing the best performance. Therefore, garlic extract can be used as an effective and environmentally friendly bioinsecticide for controlling green scale insects on coffee plants.
