dc.description.abstractBacillus sp. merupakan bakteri patogen penyebab gangguan pangan yang diketahui dapat menunjukkan resistensi terhadap antibiotik. Sehingga diperlukan alternatif antibakteri berbasis bahan alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi potensi ekstrak tanin kulit pohon akasia (Acacia mangium) sebagai alternatif antibakteri menggunakan metode sonikasi. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan variasi power ratio 20 %, 30 %, dan 40 % selama 60 menit menggunakan akuades. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa power ratio 40 % menghasilkan kadar fenolik total tertinggi (8,69 ± 0,003 mg/L GAE), tanin total (3,00 ± 0,002 mg/L), dan flavonoid total (21,71 ± 0,06 mg/L QE). Uji antibakteri metode difusi cakram menunjukkan ekstrak memiliki aktivitas daya hambat terhadap Bacillus sp. dengan zona hambat 1,4 nm (< 5 nm, rendah) pada konsentrasi 100 %. Hasil ini menunjukkan adanya aktivitas antibakteri, meskipun daya hambat yang diperoleh masih tergolong rendah, sehingga diperlukan optimasi lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan efektivitasnya. /
dc.description.abstractBacillus sp. was a pathogenic bacterium that caused foodborne diseases and was known to exhibit resistance to several antibiotic, that the alternative antibacterial agents derived from natural sources is needed this study aimed to explore the potential of tannin extract from Acacia bark (Acacia mangium) as an alternative antibacterial agent using the sonication method. Extraction was performed using distilled water with power ratio variations of 20 %, 30 %, and 40 % for 60 minutes. The results showed that a 40 % power ratio produced the highest total phenolic content (8,69 ± 0,003 mg/L GAE), total tannin content (3,00 ± 0,002 mg/L), and total flavonoid content (21,71 ± 0,06mg/L QE). Antibacterial activity tested using the disc diffusion method demonstrated an inhibition zone of 1.4 nm (<5 nm, low) at 100 % concentration. These findings indicate antibacterial activity, although the inhibition zone remains relatively low, suggesting the need for further optimization.
