      Abstract
      Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh media tanam tandan kosong kelapa sawit dan durasi perendaman air kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan bibit M. bracteata. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Agustus-November 2025 di PT Satya Kisma Usaha Batang Gading Estate, menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) faktorial dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu intensitas naungan terdiri atas N0 (tanpa naungan), N1 (naungan intensitas 50%) dan N2 (intensitas naungan 75%). Faktor kedua yaitu volume penyiraman terdiri atas P0 (250 ml air setiap hari), P1 (500 ml) dan P2 (750 ml). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas naungan berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman. Volume penyiraman berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada fase awal pertumbuhan dengan perlakuan terbaik P1 (500 ml). Interaksi naungan dan volume penyiraman berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dengan perlakuan terbaik N1P1 yang menghasilkan panjang sulur tanaman sepanjang 76,2 cm pada 8 MST.
       
      This study aimed to determine the effect of shading intensity and watering volume on the vegetative growth of M. bracteata during the early growth stage. The research was conducted from August to November 2025 at the PT Satya Kisma Usaha Batang Gading Estate using a factorial randomized complete block design (RCBD). The first factor was shading intensity, consisting of N0 (no shading), N1 (50% shading), and N2 (75% shading). The second factor was watering volume, consisting of P0 (250 ml plant day), P1 (500 ml), and P2 (750 ml). The results showed that shading intensity had a highly significant effect on plant growth. Watering volume also had a highly significant effect on plant height during the early growth stage, with the best performance observed under the P1 treatment (500 ml). Furthermore, the interaction between shading intensity and watering volume significantly affected plant height, with the N1P1 treatment producing the longest vine length, reaching 76.2 cm at 8 weeks after planting (WAP).
