Padi (Oryza sativa L.) merupakan komoditas pangan strategis yang produktivitasnya dipengaruhi oleh kesesuaian varietas dan pemupukan, terutama pada lahan dengan kesuburan rendah seperti di Merauke. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh varietas, pemupukan, dan interaksi keduanya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil padi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kampung Harapan Makmur, Distrik Kurik, Kabupaten Merauke, Papua Selatan pada September–Desember 2025 menggunakan rancangan petak terbagi (Split Plot) dengan tiga varietas (IPB 12s, IPB 15s, dan Inpari 42) sebagai petak utama serta dua perlakuan pemupukan, yaitu pupuk kimia dengan pupuk organik dan tanpa penambahan pupuk organik, sebagai anak petak yang diulang tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas, pemupukan, dan interaksi keduanya berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, dan warna daun, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap umur berbunga, komponen hasil, GKP, dan GKG. Analisis tanah menunjukkan kandungan nitrogen tergolong rendah, fosfor bervariasi dari kategori sedang hingga tinggi, dan kalium tergolong tinggi. Secara umum, perlakuan meningkatkan pertumbuhan vegetatif, tetapi belum mampu meningkatkan hasil padi secara nyata. Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a strategic food crop whose productivity is strongly influenced by varietal suitability and fertilization management, particularly on soils with low fertility, such as those found in Merauke, South Papua. This study aimed to analyze the effects of rice varieties, organic fertilizer application, and their interaction on the vegetative and generative growth of rice. The experiment was conducted from September to December 2025 in Harapan Makmur Village, Kurik District, Merauke Regency, South Papua, using a Split Plot Design arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The main plot consisted of three rice varieties, namely IPB 12s, IPB 15s, and Inpari 42, while the subplot consisted of two fertilization treatments, namely inorganic fertilization and inorganic fertilization combined with organic fertilizer. The results showed that rice variety, organic fertilizer application, and their interaction significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, and leaf color. However, they did not significantly affect flowering time, yield components, grain yield at harvest (GKP), or milled dry grain yield (GKG). Soil analysis indicated low nitrogen content, moderate to high phosphorus content, and high potassium content. Overall, the addition of organic fertilizer improved vegetative growth but did not significantly increase rice yield under the soil conditions of the study area.
