Mucuna bracteata merupakan tanaman penutup tanah yang berperan dalam meningkatkan kesuburan tanah, menekan pertumbuhan gulma, dan mengurangi erosi pada perkebunan kelapa sawit. Keberhasilan perbanyakan melalui setek masih relatif rendah sehingga diperlukan aplikasi zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas dan efisiensi penggunaan air kelapa, ekstrak bonggol pisang, dan Root Up dengan lama perendaman 30 dan 45 menit terhadap pertumbuhan setek Mucuna bracteata. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) dengan tujuh perlakuan dan 280 unit setek. Parameter yang diamati meliputi persentase hidup, panjang sulur, dan jumlah daun selama enam minggu setelah tanam. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Shapiro–Wilk dan uji Kruskal–Wallis pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan Root Up dengan lama perendaman 30 menit menghasilkan persentase hidup tertinggi (35%) dan panjang sulur tertinggi (36,00 cm), sedangkan air kelapa merupakan alternatif yang lebih efisien karena memberikan pertumbuhan yang relatif baik dengan biaya aplikasi yang lebih rendah. | |

Mucuna bracteata is a legume cover crop widely used in oil palm plantations to improve soil fertility, suppress weed growth, and reduce soil erosion. However, the success rate of propagation through stem cuttings remains relatively low, making the application of plant growth regulators (PGRs) necessary. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of coconut water, banana corm extract, and Root Up with soaking durations of 30 and 45 minutes on the growth of Mucuna bracteata stem cuttings. The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) consisting of seven treatments and 280 cuttings. The observed parameters included survival percentage, vine length, and number of leaves over six weeks after planting. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk test and the Kruskal–Wallis test at a 5% significance level. The results showed that Root Up with a 30-minute soaking duration produced the highest survival rate (35%) and the greatest vine length (36.00 cm), while coconut water was the most efficient alternative because it provided relatively good growth performance at a lower application cost. | |
