      Abstract
Ekstrak kulit manggis mengandung saponin senilai 3,91 SE/ mg ekstrak. Formulasi terbaik terdapat pada F3 ulangan 3.

Detergents are effective cleaning agents because they contain surfactants. Surfactants are made from petroleum and chemicals. These compounds can pollute the environment. One natural substitute for surfactants is saponin. One part of the plant that contains saponins, but has not been optimally utilized, is mangosteen peel. The saponin content in mangosteen peel powder is 10.09%. This study aims to identify the potential of saponins contained in mangosteen peel as a substitute for surfactants to remove dirt in the manufacture of environmentally friendly eco detergents. The study began by making a thick extract of mangosteen peel and then including it in the formulation. The extract results were tested for total saponin content, the product was tested for pH, foam stability, detergent performance, and the wastewater was tested for dissolved oxygen content. Mangosteen peel extract contains saponins worth 3.91 SE / mg extract. The best formulation was found in F3 replicate 3
