dc.description.abstractPeningkatan pembangunan perkotaan menyebabkan berkurangnya ruang terbuka hijau sehingga menurunkan kemampuan lingkungan dalam mereduksi konsentrasi partikulat di udara. Penelitian bertujuan merancang dan membangun serta mengevaluasi kinerja prototipe atap hijau berbasis vegetasi Portulaca grandiflora dalam mereduksi konsentrasi Particulate Matter 2,5 dan Particulate Matter 10. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan prototipe atap hijau tipe ekstensif berukuran 1 m × 1 m × 1 m di atap Gedung Advanced Research Laboratory IPB University. Konsentrasi partikulat diukur menggunakan sensor PMS5003 yang telah dikalibrasi terhadap metode gravimetri dan diamati selama tujuh hari pada unit perlakuan dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prototipe atap hijau mampu mereduksi konsentrasi Particulate Matter 2,5 dan Particulate Matter 10 dengan efisiensi rata-rata masing-masing sebesar 10,71% dan 11,00%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Portulaca grandiflora berpotensi diterapkan sebagai vegetasi atap hijau untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas udara di kawasan perkotaan.
dc.description.abstractUrban development has reduced green open spaces, decreasing the environment's capacity to remove airborne particulate matter. The study aimed to design, construct, and evaluate the performance of a green roof prototype using Portulaca grandiflora in reducing Particulate Matter 2,5 and Particulate Matter 10 concentrations. An extensive green roof prototype measuring 1 m × 1 m × 1 m was installed on the rooftop of the Advanced Research Laboratory Building, IPB University. Particulate matter concentrations were measured using PMS5003 sensors calibrated against the gravimetric method and monitored for seven days in vegetated and control units. The results showed that the prototype reduced Particulate Matter 2,5 and Particulate Matter 10 concentrations with average efficiencies of 10.71% and 11.00%, respectively. These findings demonstrate the potential of Portulaca grandiflora as green roof vegetation to improve urban air quality.
