      Abstract
      Kayu jabon putih sebagai kayu cepat tumbuh banyak dimanfaatkan untuk industri dan konstruksi, tetapi memiliki ketahanan alami yang rendah terhadap jamur, rayap, dan cuaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh proses mineralisasi menggunakan larutan kalsium klorida dan kalium karbonat dengan variasi konsentrasi 5% dan 10% terhadap ketahanan kayu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi proses mineralisasi kayu, diikuti dengan pengujian ketahanan terhadap jamur, rayap dan cuaca. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mineralisasi berhasil membentuk endapan kalsium karbonat pada struktur kayu dan meningkatkan ketahanan kayu terhadap organisme perusak, yang ditunjukkan oleh penurunan kehilangan berat akibat serangan jamur dan rayap dibandingkan kontrol. Perlakuan mineralisasi juga mampu mengurangi perubahan warna selama paparan cuaca serta meningkatkan nilai Modulus of Elasticity dinamis, Modulus of Elasticity dan Modulus of Rupture setelah paparan cuaca. Secara keseluruhan, konsentrasi 0,5 mol/L memberikan kinerja yang paling optimal dalam meningkatkan durabilitas dan sifat mekanis kayu jabon.
       
      White jabon, a fast-growing wood, is widely used in industry and construction, but it has low natural resistance to fungi, termites, and weather. This study aims to analyze the effect of a mineralization process using calcium chloride and potassium carbonate solutions at varying concentrations of 5% and 10% on wood durability. The research method used includes the wood mineralization, followed by testing for resistance to fungi, termites, and weather. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by Duncan's test at the 5% significance level. The results showed that mineralization successfully formed calcium carbonate deposits in the wood structure and increased the wood's resistance to destructive organisms, as indicated by reduced weight loss due to fungal and termite attacks compared to the control. The mineralization treatment also reduced color changes during weather exposure and increased the dynamic Modulus of Elasticity, Modulus of Elasticity, and Modulus of Rupture values after weather exposure. Overall, a concentration of 0.5 mol/L provided the most optimal performance in improving the durability and mechanical properties of jabon wood.
