      Perbandingan Metode Tree Sampling dan Plot Lingkaran dalam Pendugaan Potensi Tegakan Pinus di RPH Gobang KPH Bogor

      Abstract
      Forest inventory requires an accurate and efficient sampling method for estimating stand potential. This study compares tree sampling and circular plot methods for estimating volume and biomass of pine stands in Gobang RPH, KPH Bogor. Data were collected from 22 sample plots using circular plots (0.1 ha) and tree sampling with 9, 12, and 15 trees. Analysis included volume and biomass calculations, difference tests, sampling error, and relative efficiency. The circular plot method produced the highest average volume (283.35 m³/ha) and the smallest sampling error. The difference test showed that 9-tree sampling did not differ significantly from the circular plot, whereas 12 and 15-tree sampling differed significantly. All tree sampling methods were more efficient than the circular plot. The 9-tree sampling method had the highest relative efficiency, making it the most efficient method while still producing estimates close to those of the circular plot method at the study site.
       
      Inventarisasi hutan memerlukan metode sampling yang mampu menghasilkan pendugaan potensi tegakan secara akurat dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan metode tree sampling dan plot lingkaran dalam menduga volume dan biomassa tegakan pinus di RPH Gobang KPH Bogor. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada 22 plot contoh menggunakan metode plot lingkaran seluas 0,1 ha serta tree sampling dengan 9, 12, dan 15 pohon contoh. Analisis data meliputi perhitungan volume, biomassa, uji beda, sampling error, dan efisiensi relatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode plot lingkaran menghasilkan rata-rata volume tertinggi sebesar 283,35 m³/ha dan memiliki sampling error terkecil. Hasil uji beda menunjukkan 9-tree sampling tidak berbeda nyata dengan plot lingkaran dalam menduga volume dan biomassa, sedangkan 12tree sampling dan 15-tree sampling berbeda nyata. Seluruh metode tree sampling lebih efisien dibandingkan plot lingkaran. Metode 9-tree sampling memiliki efisiensi relatif tertinggi menunjukkan metode yang paling efisien dan mampu menghasilkan dugaan yang mendekati metode plot lingkaran pada tegakan pinus di lokasi penelitian.
