      Eksplorasi Pemanfaatan Generative AI dalam Pembuatan User Persona: Studi Kualitatif pada Praktisi UX

      Abstract
      Proses pembuatan user persona secara tradisional sering kali memakan banyak waktu dan sumber daya. Kehadiran generative AI (GenAI) menawarkan efisiensi tinggi untuk mengakselerasi proses tersebut, akan tetapi menyimpan risiko halusinasi dan bias yang dapat menyesatkan keputusan desain. Penelitian ini bertujuan menginvestigasi peran GenAI, memetakan taksonomi strategi instruksi (prompting), menganalisis risiko metodologis, serta merumuskan kerangka tata kelola operasional. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap delapan praktisi User Experience (UX) dari berbagai sektor industri dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Reflexive Thematic Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa GenAI secara fundamental difungsikan sebagai asisten kognitif untuk melepaskan beban pemrosesan data mentah. Meskipun efisien, pemanfaatan mesin terbukti memicu cacat bawaan berupa halusinasi dan bias demografi yang menyeragamkan profil pengguna. Sebagai respons mitigasi, praktisi menerapkan instruksi berbasis batasan empiris. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini menyintesiskan Conceptual Framework for AI-Assisted Persona Creation sebagai implikasi praktis. Kerangka ini menegaskan bahwa validitas artefak persona mutlak membutuhkan pengawasan human-in-the-loop dan penegakan prinsip keterlacakan wawasan (insight traceability) ke transkrip asli guna mencegah degradasi kemampuan analitis (deskilling) pada periset.
       
      Traditional process of creating user personas is often time-consuming and resource-intensive. The emergence of generative AI (GenAI) offers high efficiency to accelerate this process, yet it harbors the risk of hallucinations and biases that can mislead design decisions. This qualitative study aims to investigate the role of GenAI, map the taxonomy of prompting strategies, analyze methodological risks, and formulate an operational governance framework. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with eight User Experience (UX) practitioners from various industrial sectors and analyzed using Reflexive Thematic Analysis. The findings reveal that GenAI fundamentally functions as a cognitive assistant to offload the processing of raw data. Although efficient, the machine's utilization is proven to trigger inherent flaws, such as hallucinations and demographic biases that homogenize user profiles. As a mitigation response, practitioners apply constraint-based prompting. Based on these findings, this study synthesized the Conceptual Framework for AI-Assisted Persona Creation as a practical implication. This framework asserts that the validity of persona artifacts absolutely requires human-in-the-loop oversight and the enforcement of insight traceability to the original transcripts to prevent the analytical degradation (deskilling) of researchers.
