dc.description.abstractTransportasi benih ikan koi Cyprinus rubrofuscus berpotensi menyebabkan stres dan kematian sehingga diperlukan sedasi alami yang aman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun kemangi Ocimum sanctum terhadap respon fisiologis dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan koi selama transportasi sistem tertutup. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan menggunakan ekstrak daun kemangi, yaitu K (tanpa ekstrak daun kemangi), P1 (3,2 g), P2 (5,3 g), dan P3 (7,4 g) dengan 3 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kelangsungan hidup, kualitas air, waktu induksi, waktu pemulihan, tingkah laku, dan kadar glukosa darah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun kemangi memengaruhi respon fisiologis, tetapi memperpanjang waktu pemulihan dan perlakuan P1 merupakan dosis yang optimum dengan peningkatan hasil glukosa darah terendah 88,17 mg dL-1 , ketepatan waktu induksi dan waktu pemulihan, dan respon fisiologis yang lebih baik.
dc.description.abstractThe transportation of koi Cyprinus rubrofuscus fingerlings may induce stress and mortality; therefore, a safe natural sedative is required. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of holy basil Ocimum sanctum leaf extract on the physiological respones and survival of koi fingerlings during closed transportation. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed with treatments of holy basil leaf extract : K (control, without holy basil leaf extract), P1 (3.2 g), P2 (5.3 g), and P3 (7.4 g), each with 3 replicates. The observed parameters included survival rate, water quality, induction time, recovery time, behavior, and blood glucose level. The results showed that the administration of holy basil leaf extract affected the physiological respones of koi fingerlings during transportation. Increasing the extract dose accelerated the induction time but prolonged the recovery time and P1 treatment was the optimum dose, resulting in the lowest post-transport blood glucose level of 88.17 mg dL?¹, an appropriate balance between induction and recovery times, and better physiological responses
