dc.description.abstractLimbah cair cat berbasis air berpotensi mengandung kadmium (Cd), sehingga diperlukan pengawetan yang tepat untuk mempertahankan stabilitas Cd selama penyimpanan Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh variasi pengawetan terhadap stabilitas Cd dalam limbah cair cat berbasis air selama 28 hari. Perlakuan meliputi pengasaman menggunakan HNO3 pada pH 1,0; 2,0; 3,0; dan 4,0 penyimpanan pada suhu 4 °C, serta tanpa pengawetan sebagai kontrol. Kadar Cd dianalisis menggunakan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (SSA) dan dievaluasi melalui analisis statistik, uji stabilitas, serta validasi metode. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pengawetan dan waktu penyimpanan berpengaruh nyata terhadap stabilitas Cd (p<0,05). Pengasaman pada pH 1 dan 2 memberikan hasil terbaik dengan kehilangan kadar masing-masing 6,10% dan 9,70% setelah 28 hari. Metode analisis memenuhi kriteria validasi, sehingga pengasaman menggunakan HNO3 hingga pH 1–2 direkomendasikan untuk mempertahankan stabilitas Cd selama penyimpanan hingga 28 hari.
dc.description.abstractWater-based paint wastewater potentially contains cadmium (Cd); therefore, appropriate preservation is required to maintain Cd stability during storage. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of various preservation methods on Cd stability in water-based paint wastewater over a 28-day period. Treatments included acidification with HNO3 to pH levels of 1,0; 2,0; 3,0; and 4,0 storage at 4 °C, and a control group without preservation. Cd concentrations were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) and evaluated through statistical analysis, stability testing, and method validation. The results indicated that preservation methods and storage duration significantly affected Cd stability (p<0.05). Acidification to pH 1 and 2 yielded the best results, with concentration losses of 6.10% and 9.70%, respectively, after 28 days. The analytical method met validation criteria; thus, acidification with HNO3 to pH 1–2 is recommended to maintain Cd stability during storage for up to 28 days.
