Proses Video Editor pada Company profile "Dia yang Mencetak Penjaga Memori Bangsa" di PPSDM ANRI

Abstract

Arsip Nasional Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia (ANRI) memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga memori kolektif bangsa melalui berbagai program pengembangan kompetensi yang diselenggarakan oleh Pusat Pelatihan Sumber Daya Manusia (PPSDM). Program tersebut perlu didukung oleh media komunikasi yang mampu menyampaikan informasi kepada masyarakat secara efektif. Salah satu media yang digunakan adalah company profile, karena mampu menyajikan informasi mengenai profil, fungsi, serta aktivitas lembaga dalam bentuk audiovisual yang lebih menarik, jelas, dan mudah dipahami. Proses pembuatan company profile melibatkan berbagai tahapan produksi, salah satunya proses editing yang berperan menyusun seluruh materi visual dan audio menjadi sebuah cerita yang utuh serta memiliki alur penyampaian informasi yang sistematis. Proyek akhir ini menempatkan penulis sebagai video editor yang bertanggung jawab pada tahap pascaproduksi company profile berjudul Dia yang Mencetak Penjaga Memori Bangsa. Penulis bertanggung jawab melakukan pengelolaan footage, penyusunan alur cerita, penyuntingan visual dan audio, hingga proses finalisasi video. Proses penyuntingan dilakukan dengan menerapkan tahapan editing menurut Gael Chandler yang meliputi Logging and Selecting, Assembly Cut, Rough Cut, Fine Cut, dan Picture Lock. Metode yang digunakan adalah proyek terapan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui dokumentasi proses penyuntingan, observasi terhadap materi hasil produksi, serta evaluasi bersama sutradara dan tim produksi selama proses pascaproduksi. Hasil dari proyek akhir ini berupa video company profile berdurasi 19 menit 48 detik yang mampu menyajikan informasi mengenai peran PPSDM ANRI secara runtut, komunikatif, dan mudah dipahami oleh audiens. Penerapan tahapan editing menurut Gael Chandler membantu penulis mengorganisasikan footage secara sistematis, membangun kesinambungan visual dan audio, menyempurnakan ritme penyuntingan, serta meningkatkan kualitas teknis dan naratif video. Proses revisi bersama sutradara dan pihak PPSDM ANRI juga memberikan kontribusi terhadap penyempurnaan hasil akhir sehingga video yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan tujuan komunikasi institusi. Proses editing tidak hanya berperan dalam menyusun materi hasil produksi, tetapi juga menjadi faktor penting dalam membangun penyampaian pesan yang efektif sehingga tujuan komunikasi company profile dapat tercapai serta mampu merepresentasikan citra PPSDM ANRI kepada masyarakat dan para pemangku kepentingan. Selain itu, proyek ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan alur kerja editing yang sistematis dapat meningkatkan efektivitas proses pascaproduksi. Hasil video diharapkan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media informasi dan promosi PPSDM ANRI serta menjadi referensi dalam pembuatan company profile institusi sejenis.

The National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) plays a vital role in preserving the nation's collective memory through various competency development programs organized by its Human Resources Training Center (PPSDM). These programs require communication media capable of effectively conveying information to the public. One such medium is the company profile, which presents information regarding the institution's profile, functions, and activities in an audiovisual format that is engaging, clear, and easily understood. Creating a company profile involves several production stages; the editing phase is crucial for assembling visual and audio materials into a cohesive story with a systematic flow of information. For this final project, the author served as the video editor responsible for the post-production of a company profile titled *Dia yang Mencetak Penjaga Memori Bangsa* (The One Who Shapes the Guardians of the Nation's Memory). The author’s responsibilities included managing footage, structuring the narrative flow, editing visuals and audio, and finalizing the video. The editing process followed Gael Chandler’s stages: Logging and Selecting, Assembly Cut, Rough Cut, Fine Cut, and Picture Lock. An applied project method with a qualitative descriptive approach was employed, utilizing documentation of the editing process, observation of the produced material, and evaluations conducted with the director and production team throughout the post-production phase. The project resulted in a company profile video lasting 19 minutes and 48 seconds, effectively presenting the role of ANRI’s PPSDM in a coherent, communicative, and accessible manner. Applying Gael Chandler’s editing stages helped the author systematically organize footage, establish visual and audio continuity, refine the editing rhythm, and enhance the video's technical and narrative quality. Revisions made in collaboration with the director and ANRI’s PPSDM team further refined the final product, ensuring the video aligned with the institution's communication objectives. The editing process served not only to assemble production materials but also played a pivotal role in crafting an effective message, thereby achieving the company profile's communication goals and successfully representing the image of ANRI’s PPSDM to the public and stakeholders. Furthermore, this project demonstrates that implementing a systematic editing workflow can enhance the effectiveness of the post-production process. The resulting video is expected to serve as an information and promotional tool for PPSDM ANRI, as well as a reference for creating corporate profiles for similar institutions.
