| dc.description.abstract | Produksi ikan hias di Indonesia mengalami kemajuan khususnya pada komoditas ikan koi, namun warna ikan koi sering kali tidak secerah pada habitat asli karena kurangnya karotenoid dalam pakan komersial. Upaya yang diterapkan untuk meningkatkan warna adalah penambahan aditif astaxanthin pada pakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh dosis astaxanthin yang terbaik untuk meningkatkan pigmentasi warna merah pada ikan koi showa. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu 0 mg, 250 mg, 300 mg dan 350 mg kg pakan-1 yang diberi kode secara berturut-turut AST0, AST250, AST300, AST350 dengan 3 ulangan dan dilakukan 35 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AST350 merupakan perlakuan paling efektif. Dosis ini secara signifikan menghasilkan nilai tertinggi pada kecerahan warna (2,73±0,12), total karotenoid (47,21 µg g-1), serta laju pertumbuhan bobot spesifik (1,56±0,04% hari-1) dan panjang spesifik (0,33±0,04% hari-1) dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Pemberian 350 mg astaxanthin kg pakan-1 menghasilkan kecerahan warna, total karotenoid, laju pertumbuhan bobot spesifik dan laju pertumbuhan panjang spesifik terbaik. Disarankan menggunakan astaxanthin dengan dosis 350 mg kg-1 pakan sebagai bahan aditif untuk meningkatkan pigmentasi warna merah pada ikan koi showa. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Ornamental fish production in Indonesia has seen progress, particularly in koi, but the koi fish colors are often not as vibrant as in their natural habitat due to a lack of carotenoids in commercial feed. Efforts to enhance color involve adding additives astaxanthin to the feed. This study aimed to determine the optimal dose of astaxanthin for enhancing red pigmentation in showa koi. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments: 0 mg, 250 mg, 300 mg, and 350 mg kg feed-1, coded sequentially as AST0, AST250, AST300, and AST350, with three replicates and a duration of 35 days. The results showed that AST350 was the most effective treatment. This dose significantly produced the highest values for color brightness (2,73±0,12), total carotenoids (47,21 µg g?¹), as well as specific weight growth rate (1,56±0,04% day?¹) and specific length growth rate (0,33±0,04% day?¹) compared to the other treatments. The administration of 350 mg of astaxanthin kg feed-1 produced the best color brightness, total carotenoids, specific weight growth rate, and specific length growth rate. It is recommended to use astaxanthin at a dose of 350 mg kg feed-1 as an additive to enhance red pigmentation in showa koi. | |
