| dc.description.abstract | TSABITAH AFIF DAMANIK. Pengaruh Pemberian Zat Pengatur Tumbuh (ZPT) Alami dan Lama Perendaman terhadap Pertumbuhan Benih Mucuna bracteata. Dibimbing oleh MERRY GLORIA MELIALA.
Benih Mucuna bracteata memiliki daya tumbuh yang rendah namun diperlukan sebagai tindakan kultur teknis sebagai pengendalian gulma di perkebunan kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Vokasi Institut Pertanian Bogor pada bulan April – Mei 2026 menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) dua faktor dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama terdiri atas jenis ZPT menggunakan air biasa, air kelapa, air cucian beras, ekstrak bawang merah, ekstrak taoge dan ekstrak bonggol pisang sedangkan faktor kedua terdiri atas durasi lama perendaman menggunakan durasi 2 jam, 1 jam, dan 0,5 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian jenis ZPT dan lama perendaman berpengaruh terhadap beberapa peubah respon yaitu daya tumbuh, panjang sulur, bobot basah tajuk, bobot kering akar dan bobot kering tajuk. Parameter pertumbuhan Mucuna bracteata yang paling penting merupakan panjang sulur dengan perlakuan terbaik yaitu A6B2 yang mampu menghasilkan panjang sulur tertinggi sebesar 54,03 cm. | |
| dc.description.abstract | TSABITAH AFIF DAMANIK. The Effect of Natural Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) and Soaking Duration on the Growth of Mucuna bracteata Seeds. Supervised by MERRY GLORIA MELIALA.
Mucuna bracteata seeds had low germination capacity, yet this species is required as a cultural technique for weed control in oil palm plantations. This study was conducted at the Vocational School of IPB University (Institut Pertanian Bogor) from April to May 2026, using a two-factor randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. The first factor consisted of PGR type, using water, coconut water, rice-washing water, shallot extract, bean sprout extract, and banana corm extract, while the second factor consisted of soaking duration, using durations of 2 hours, 1 hour, and 0.5 hours. The results showed that the type of PGR and soaking duration affected several response variables, namely germination capacity, vine length, shoot fresh weight, root dry weight, and shoot dry weight. Among the growth parameters evaluated, vine length was the most important parameter. The A6B2 treatment produced the highest vine length, reaching 54.03 cm. | |
